Mission partially accomplished

Sweet is the wine but sour is the payment.
Take heed of enemies reconciled, and of meat twice boiled.
Take thy thoughts to bed with thee, for the morning is wiser than the evening.
Talk of the devil and he is sure to appear.
Tell me who you live with and I will tell you who you are.

30-09-2005 – Another date :)

Got a very important task done today: Bought the dress for my brother’s wedding.
Finally… after months of looking, thinking, pondering, procrastinating and even more looking, went down with TKM to Suntec to have lunch before Waterways. Walked right into Daniel Yam, tried on a few dresses, look in the mirror a few times…
*ca-ching*
Sale made for the nice people of Daniel Yam.
I must admit that the customer service there went a long way in helping me make my decision. The lady there was very nice and patient with me and my demands… what to do? I have a lot of criteria lor… I don’t shop often for a very good reason leh~
Total cost: 2 nuclear warheads minus a few molecules -.-lll … damn destructive all the same man~
Now have to shop for shoes and accessories…
-faints-
Oh yah! Can not forget the make-up, hair-styling, manicure, pedicure, etc…
-faints again-

We had lunch at Delifrance before I had to make my way to Waterways.
I walked to the venue from Suntec… haha… took me about 15 minutes, good walk xia~ its been a long time since I walked that route… the last time I walked along that area was when Adelyn and I took part in the President’s Star Charity as part of NPCC CIP… that time, we walked from Paya Lebar MRT station to the National Stadium and then to Suntec. But that was a pretty long time ago… I think around 5 years ba~
The place is now under construction for the Circle line MRT and dusty it is…

I was the only one who did not get to go on the boats today because there was a last minute change in plans, so I ended up riding the bicycle out on my own… haha … cycled from Waterways all the way to Alcaf Bridge and back again… got caught in the rain on the return trip, but so did the people on the boat… heh… I managed to pace my cycling such that I got back at the same time as the two boats… haha… exercise is fun~

Current nick:
God's most o.O creation : Port = Left = Even = Red – Lifebuoys are not meant to be driven over!
Tomorrow is my handling test for powerboat.
Was supposed to have a sort of final run on the boat with Felix, but he did not turn up today… haha… have to simulate to make up for it I guess… hahaha~
Got to cram all the info into my head tonight ah… all the checks and what not…
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
Woohooo~

Good Charlotte - We Believe

There’s a woman crying out tonight
Her world has changed
She asks God why
Her only son has died
And now her daughter cries
She can’t sleep at night

Downtown another day for all the suits and ties
Another war to fight
There’s no regard for life
How do they sleep at night
How can we make things right
Just wanna make this right

We believe(x6)
In this love

We are all the same
Human in all our ways and all our pain
(So let it be)
There’s a love that could fall down like rain
(Let us see)
Let forgiveness wash away the pain
(What we need)
And no one really knows what they are searching for
(We believe)
This world is crying for so much more

We believe(x6)
In this love

We believe(x5)
In this love

So this world is too much for you to take
Just lay it down and follow me
I’ll be everything you need
In every way

We believe(x6)
In this love

In this love
We believe
In this love
We believe
In this love
We believe
In this love

JY!
Hang in there~

Parvy-warvy,
Thanks for listening to my ranting… means a lot to me :)
-big hugs-

Time to go prepare for tomorrow~
In Jesus’ name I have the victory!

Kick the being late!

Sometimes I go about pitying myself, and all the time I am being carried on great wings across the sky.
Sorrow for a husband is like a pain in the elbow, sharp and short.
Speak not of my debts unless you mean to pay them.
Speak the truth, but leave immediately after.
Stars are not seen by sunshine.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

I was late for Macro lecture today!
Nooooooo!!!!
Have to get rid of the being late thing… I seriously don’t want it to become a habit!
I was never late for anything except two lectures last year and yet this year, I have been late for 4 lectures already!
Have to work on my timing! I am the leader-founder of the Choop-Seat Society!
Can not throw face ah!

More notes were collected today, which means I have to get all of them filed in… been procrastinating too much for my own good… time is flying far too fast to be slacking don you think? Argh~
Today’s lecture lasted till 4.50pm instead of the expected 5pm.
Mr. Seet was kind enough be let us off early, I think he himself was tired… the group for macro is a lot larger than the micro group, which is probably why I prefer my Monday lectures… haha… that and the fact that there is training on Mondays does make a huge difference… haha… today also din have to go to work, so I am sitting here and typing, listening to my music and trying to map out my evening… haha…
I was so glad that lecture ended early that I left Long Jie and Chai Ling behind while I boarded the bus for home -.-lll… Opppz~
Sorry guys… next week lah ok?

The weather today was crazy… hot, cold, hot cold, hot and hot… and I am coming down with the sniffles… plus sneezing quite a bit … oh well~
I think I need more rest… haha… had very weird dreams last night… hyperactive brain at work again… wonder what the right side of my grey matter will come up with tonight… hmmm…

Must go replenish my energy~
Cheers!

My first BKT

Since we cannot get what we like, let us like what we can get.
Sit a beggar at your table and he will soon put his feet on it.
Six hours' sleep for a man, seven for a woman and eight for a fool.
Small children give you headache; big children heartache.
Some people are masters of money, and some its slaves.

Went to Waterways this morning to help out with the CIP for police cadets.
Auntie Annie, Felix, Eugene, Jo, Ler, Ah Hong and Yilinn were there too.
Apparently all the cadets who went today are scholars and they are all going to be big shots in the Police one day…
Some were very enthusiastic while others had a rather sickening fatalistic attitude towards the activities that had been planned for them… don think I wanna comment further…
Yilinn and I supervised the cadets as they did their beach clean ups and were on the bikes half the time for the sake of getting things done at a quicker pace… haha :)
Found two dead fish, a dead bird and a dead kitten... too bad I could not give them a proper grave...
When the second crew were due back from the river patrol we got a scare when Annie said that Ler’s boat ran out of fuel… so I volunteered to go with Jo to go and see what became of them…
The moment I got into the boat, the other boat came into view! O.olll
All was not lost!
I got permission to take the boat for a spin and practice for about an hour with Jo, who is a boat instructor and examiner. Heh~
Thanks a bunch Jo! :D

My first time eating ba ku teh today… haha… it was nice… maybe one day I will go back there and eat again… haha… went around SMU and to YMCA with Yilinn to look look see see and pass some stuff to Kian Peng before making my way home.

Not going for SIM training today, but I will confirm go to Kovan to kick those targets… haha… damn do I miss training…

Need to take a nap man… not enough sleep… later~

Dummy report

Rome was not built in a day.
Seek counsel of him who makes you weep, and not of him who makes you laugh.
Set a beggar on horseback, and he'll out ride the Devil.
Set a thief to catch a thief.
Silence was never written down.

Just got home from cell group and that marks the end to my Tuesday marathon.
Had OT lecture in the morning and met Mui Koon on the bus.
Been such a long time since I’ve seen her~
Good to know that she is doing fine with her studies :)

Almost fell asleep during OT lecture and was rather close to doing the same during the POA lecture… but I am glad that I managed to understand the lecture… or at least the parts I was ‘switched on’ to. Oppz -.-lll
Have to get the notes in order and file everything up in preparation for next week… I sure do not want to bring messy notes all over the place and see flying A4s during the lectures x.x
Passed the sociology book to Sheena and the math + stats notes to Yingying …
Hope they are of use to you ladies :D

My coughing is coming back…
Sian to the power of half!!!!

Before heading out for cell group, I caught a particular news reel on Ch U (yes, I do watch the Chinese channels once in a while and yes; I do watch the news…). That piece of news was on the speeding cameras which have been put up at selected bus stops around the island.
They were reporting that the fake cameras were helping to slow down the potential speed demons in the area.
I wonder if they see the irony of reporting about those ‘dummy’ cameras…
Now I wonder who/what the real ‘dummy’ is… shesh~
-shakes head-

Starting to sway now…
Speaking of that – I WANT TO WATCH MICHAEL BUBLE WHEN HE COMES TO SINGAPORE!!!!
Anyone wanna go with me?
Sponsorship would also be a very good idea… or how about making it an early Christmas present for me?
-puppy dog eyes-

*yawn*

HOT, cold, hot, cold, hot, COLD

Praise the young and they will blossom.
Public before private and country before family.
Put silk on a goat, and it's still a goat.
Quiet people are well able to look after themselves.
Rags to riches to rags.
Roasted pigeons will not fly into one's mouth.

I was on time for today’s lecture! Woohooo~
Micro class was not bad today… revision here I come… what was crazy though was the weather!
The bus I took to school was supposed to be air-conditioned, but it felt more like a sauna in the bus because of all the hot air that was being blown during the ride… by the time I got to school, my blouse was wet! Shesh~
The lecture theatre was the direct opposite… cold like siao! Good thing I brought my jacket along… even Charis commented that it was very cold and so did Mr. Seet… better cold than hot anyway… just hope we all don’t fall sick from the constant temperature changes... took the bus home with Eelin and Kelvin… first it was hot…den -- THE RAIN CAME POURING DOWN IN BUCKETS!!!!
So I had to wear my jacket all the way home to prevent myself from getting wet… then the rain stopped and it got hot again… o.olll
For all my ranting about the weather, I am still happy that we have sunshine and rain instead of natural disasters… we are a blessed nation.
Thank you God!

No tkd training in school today due to yesterday’s grading, training session resumes on Wednesday at the usual time… I wonder if I will have enough energy for it after the event in the morning at Waterways… Time will tell and God knows… ladida~
Oh how I miss training… can’t wait to kick targets again… and do my new pattern… hahaha… can teach the cc kids their new patterns as well :)

“Surely you and I are beyond speaking when words are clearly not enough.”
– Edmund Bertram, Mansfield Park.

Kimi: “I got Battle Royale le... but must watch on comp. Kushin-Bo has ladies night on Thurs I think. I wanna go that or K-box…”
Ladies night?!
Wah!
It just so happens that I am free this Thursday evening *evil grinz*… but sadly, I am low on funds -.-lll
I’m fine with K-boxing… but we two only? Wanna jio anyone else?

S’all for now…
Body aching again… have to pack for tomorrow…
Ciao babehs~

5th grading

Pigs might fly, but they are most unlikely birds.
Politics is a rotten egg; if broken, it stinks.
Poor men seek meat for their stomach, rich men stomach for their meat.
Power lasts ten years; influence not more than a hundred.
Practice makes perfect.

My 5th grading has come and gone in the blink of an eye… let’s rewind the clock shall we?...

Saturday morning was spent at work… then from there I went to Raffles Place to meet Yong Jet, Kenny, John, Alan and the two birthday people: Gordon and Genevieve.
We ate at the Sakae Sushi outlet there… buffet at student prices is good~
-chuckles-
I miss Japanese food man! Can’t remember when was the last time I ate Japanese food... and I am still waiting for Yong Jet to go Kushin Bon lor *BIG HUGE HINT*
After eating our fill (Kenny can sure eat), we made for Marina Square to throw balls.
Actually wanted to sing K-box… but then the birthday boy don wan… haha…
From the experience of washing the ‘loong kangs’ I conclude that I am not cut out for bowling. Gordon is very good though… he got turkey and a lot more strikes on the final game… I got the least points in all but one of the games… literally throwing money down the drain xia~
-faints-
Must save money for other things!
On the up-side, the more I throw, the better I get… *bleah* I think I will just stick to pool… then again… I not that great at that either, but then at least its more value for money… haha~
Happy Birthday once more to Gordon and Genevieve!

Grading today was a blur, well, I was not that blur, but the day went pass in a total blur of colours, temperatures, emotions and people.
The venue for grading was switched from the badminton court to the main hall. Thus resulting in more headaches than usual for the people doing administration, ala Me and the other right/left hands of Mr. Chow.
Had to hand out grading cards to the Kovan CC kids, find grading cards for kids from other CCs, get the kids arranged according to their belt colours and prepare them for their gradings, tell people to vacate the area to make space for other people… deal with parents who think that the whole world revolves around their children… etc. and that was not including the stuff for SIM TKD Club. *phew* I am glad that this kind of thing only happens once every three months… haha… but it is good to know that I am helping others to have an easier time… haha… oh! I made some new friends as well during the process! That is something worth cheering about… heehee~ :D

I would like to congratulate the white belters on completing their first grading!
Hakim! You’re an animal! You totally whacked out Ken! You go man!
-jumps all over the place with pompoms-
Good job guys! You made it! Now to prepare for the next grading!
Woohooo~

The end of grading saw the beginning of our club meeting and my mad scribble of notes… I am so not a good note taker… oh well… have to practice to become better eh?
Lunch with my peeps at MacD… shesh… if BK had not closed down I would not have bothered to look at that place lor… the company has already taken enough of this poor girl’s money… and I even ate there in the morning lor~ Gah!
Salty fries and a burger that is not as worth it as the ones from Burger King… WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CLOSE THE KOVAN OUTLET?!?!?!!!
Finished lunch with my society then went to hang out with my club members who were still in the area… we walked around Heartland Mall and yakked at the CC until Amanda fell asleep on the couch… haha…
When I finally got home and out of the hot sun, bathed and repacked my stuff, I concussed for 2 odd hours… got up at 6.30pm with aching shoulders and back to eat my dinner… watched the tele and here I am typing out my day…
Biggest irony of today’s grading: I usually go nuts with my digital camera and take pictures of everyone in their gi and when they are doing patterns and sparring and what not… but this time, I didn’t have time to even take out the camera! I only got 5 shots taken in total! And they weren’t even taken during the grading…
-face palm-
We shall see how the next grading goes ba~
-hysterical laughter-
Counting the days to the 8th of Oct... Jill and Sianli's grading :)
95% sure that I will be able to make it down to TPY on that day... bringing my pompoms along to cheers for them...
-loud migumi laughter-

Joshy kor: "sharon>haha cos Sin City is made in the style of a comic..hence u have to enjoy it like u enjoy a comic...Zatoichi is nice..heck all of Takeshi 'Beat' Kitano's movies are nice..Kikujiro,Battle Royale and even Merry Xmas Mr Lawrence"
I wanted to watch Battle Royale ah!!! That and Volcano High… last time wanted to watch but then no chance to go to the movies… oh well… I like the farmers tilling the ground with their hoes and while in the rain… very cute! :D

JY: “closed down? that's so sad.”
YES! VERY SAD!!! Damn it! I want to write complain letter lor… sian diao… kanna forced to eat at MacD…

Parveen!
I love the pictures!

Anyone interested in eat Japanese food some time soon? K box is also on my 'to-do' list... any takers? :D

What we do in life – echoes an eternity…
Just felt like saying that… haha…

The joy of the Lord is my strength!
New week here I come!
Have a good one everybody!
Cheers!

We watched 3 bloody movies

It's an ill wind that blows no good.
Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet.
Patience is poultice for all wounds.
Patience is the best medicine.
People live in each other's shelter.

Yes, I watched 3 bloody movies today with Parveen.
The movie orgy at it’s finest.
-migumi laughter-
We watched:
Sin City, Zaitoichi and Blade Trinity.
In that order.

Heartland Mall was the meeting place for me and Parveen today.
We wanted to buy BK for lunch, but the outlet at Kovan has closed down!!!!
Why in the hack would it close down when it has all the students in the area as it customers?!?!
Where is my society and club going to have lunch at on Sunday???!!!
-starts pulling hair out and cussing at BK-
all because the outlet was closed, Parveen and I made a special trip to Seng Kang to buy BK… see what they made us do??!?!!
RWAH~!!
The least they could have done is let us know why they closed down!
Shesh!
-counts backwards from 100...99…98…97…96…95…94…93…92…-

Anyways… to the movies!
Sin City -
Thank you to Kimi for lending me the DVD.
Borrowed it a while back from her and today I finally got the chance to find out what the hype was all about.
It’s mostly in black and white.
Blood looks more like liquid paper.
People don’t seem to die.
Body parts fly all over the place like paper aero planes.
*Bang-bang* here and a *bang-bang* there.
Here a *bang*, there a *bang*, everywhere a *bang-bang*…
Other than the above mentioned, I don think I really understood the whole concept of what the film was about.
Maybe if I watch it again in the future, I might understand it better.
Maybe.
Heh~

Thanks to Joshua Kor for lending me Zaitoichi.
Samurai and swords, rain and techno, cross dressing boys.
Blind yet able to see.
Able to see and yet can still trip over a stone while walking.
Red cane which takes life.
Certified idiot running around houses.
Odd or even?
Arterial blood spray which makes rather cool patterns.
Japanese top knots doing tap dancing.
End of story.
Hahaha… you will have to see it for yourself to understand what I am talking about…

Blade Trinity was a very nice change after watching the previous two movies.
The fast pace B-grade action was just what we needed to wake us up.
Gore, Triple-H as a vampire, vampire dogs, I-pod making guest appearances, close quarter combat, skulls, bloody necks, Dracula in the form of , bows and arrows, biting here and there, etc.
Basically just mindless mayhem and blowing things up for the sake of blowing things up.
*Bite-bite* here and a *bite-bite* there.
Here a *bite*, there a *bite*, everywhere a *bite-bite*…

I’d say I’ve watched enough blood and bloody objects flying across a screen in one afternoon to last me at least a month.
Can’t wait to spend time with you again Sugar babe!
I miss you already… we must go shopping the next time!
Ear rings! Blouses! Skirts! Dresses! Anything! Shop we must!
-loud migumi laughter-
Your new Chinese phrase tickles me to no end… hahha…

Joshy kor: “sharon>dun worry too much..must always have confidence no matter what..at most cry a bit let out ur feelings is good”
Heh~ I hear and obey! :)

Happy Birthday to Gordon and Genevieve!

Squeak + Meow = ?

One good turn deserves another.
One joy scatters a hundred griefs.
One of these day is none of these days.
One swallow maketh not a summer.
Only the wearer knows where the shoe pinches.
Out of the frying pan into the fire.

The coughing has subsided quite a bit.
I no longer wake up at night coughing my lungs out.
The only reason why I could not sleep last night was because I kept dreaming of grading and waking up from the dreams… shesh~
I lost count of how many times I woke up during the night… hopefully tonight will be better…

I am a combination of a cat and a mouse.
Therefore I am my own worse enemy.
Does that make sense?

Macro lecture was not bad… some what like the micro, just as productive… have to dive into the notes and rewrite some of the scribbles I took down during the class... this will force me to go and understand the notes… o the things I do … have to lah~
I have a total of 3 lecturers this semester and they are all male!
Last term I had two female and two male:
Nageb, Ting, Wong and Meena.
This time:
Seet, Mok and Tan (aka Sunny).
I have 3 lecturers even though I am taking 4 modules because Mr. Seet is teach both the Micro and Macro modules… got a pros and cons lah… have to keep looking on the bright side. :)
Stress is a good thing… stress is a good thing… stress is supposed to be a good thing…
-rubs head-

pau pau: “hi sweetie. get well soon!!!!!! take care, sleepy well.”
Heya Pau! Thanks!

Anyone got a spar phone they can lend/sell to me?
My phone just went kaput…
-pulls hair out-

"Thy drugs are quick."

One beggar at the door is enough.
One cannot shoe a running horse.
One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters.
One flower will not make a garland.
One generation plants the trees; another gets the shade.

I finally got my POA notes binded!
Wahahahaha~

Ran all my errands within one hour… took my lunch and medication lo… can anyone say drowsy?

Kimi: "Ur ramblings abt Econs remind me of my classes. Holler if u nd help. Get well soon!"
Thanks Kimi! :D
If and when I need help you will hear my scream all the way from Clementi or Hougang… provided I get my voice back… hahaha
Thanks again~

Time to give into the meds!

Lovely call

Not the cry, but the flight of the wild duck, leads the flock to fly and follow.
Not wine...men intoxicate themselves; Not vice...men entice themselves.
Nothing dries sooner than tears.
Nothing is as burdensome as a secret.
Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.

Here I am once again, on a Tuesday evening.
-starts pulling hair out-
Jeff’s sick as well… oh gosh… get well soon sick people!

As I told Yang Mui during POA, I do all that ranting about not being on time for lecture on Monday and this morning I get to school at 8am! O.O
Shesh~
The bus ride was less than forty minutes! That is a new record!
Then again, I nodded off a few times while on the bus due to my first dosage of the day… Thank God I did not miss the bus stop man~

OT today was some what more interesting that the last time… me thinks digestion is in the works… managed to stay awake for the whole lecture… had lunch with Yang Mui, Ying Ying and Jane… can’t say the same for POA though -.-lll
I nodded of a few times but I caught myself… phew~
The session after the break was more fruitful…
Hang out with Yang Mui, while waiting for 6pm to come… we tried to study… I think we succeeded … a bit… did we?
Hmmm…

Just heard from Alfred that his friend just passed away.
Jasper was only 15.
He is in a better place.
May his soul rest in peace.
Condolences to his family.
-a moment of silence-

Things to do and places to go tomorrow.
See if my health can hold up to the challenge.
The joy of the Lord is my strength!

Ivan:
Hey dear, hope your doing fine.
God keep you.
Take care at camp.
We’ll catch up when you’re free ya?

Medicine is taking effect lo~
Signing off.
-hugs-

Initial plan out the window

Necessity is the mother of invention.
Necessity knows no law.
Necessity never made a good bargain.

Just finished taking my medication for the day… be ready to get drowsy within the next hour or so…

Had a tough time trying to sleep last night.
Spent half the time coughing my lungs out… I would be sleeping and suddenly I would start coughing. The more I coughed the worse it got… seriously hope that I can sleep better tonight xia~

Survived the Micro Econs lecture today… very happy that I can at least grasp what Mr. Seet was talking about… the only sickening thing is that I was late again for the lecture… although only 5 minutes late but still! I hate being late for anything man! It’s like totally in my genetic make up to be early for appointments… dang! Something is a miss…
-ponders over the possibilities-
Thank goodness I brought the lozenges to school today, if not I would have been coughing all the way through the indifference curves and price indices… -.-lll
As I said, lecture was good, now have to revise everything that was taught today so I can remember… micro + macro = ECONOMICS OVERLOAD!!!!
Haha… a lot of things to study but I know I will pull though… have to understand everything xia~

My initial plan for the day was to go for lecture then skoot off a few minutes after the start of training.
Only the first part of the plan was put into effect.
I ended up staying for the whole training session…. Heh~
Could not bear to miss out on the sparring mah… and there were a lot of new people of various belt levels who turned up as well so I decided to stay and lend my support to my club. Had I known that I was going to stay back, I would have brought my half-gi… gah! Everything so last minute… oh well… its over and I had a good time anyway~
In the words of Hakim: We going to have ‘fight club’ today?
Sad to say, I can’t write much about today’s sparring, coz I don remember the sparring pairings very well… pai seh ah~
But the sparring was good on all ends, gives me something to work for… all I need is my health and energy back...

Joshy kor: “sharon>wahhh take ur vitamins and medicine and say your prayers(hulk hogan says this)”
Heh… Will do, will do :)

weEne: “Get well soon!!!”
Thanks twin! :D

Tomorrow is a full day in school, I think I had better not bring the medication to school, if not I will fall asleep during lessons, its hard enough to stay awake just from taking one dosage, take two and sure k.o. in front of either Sunny or Mr. Mok… don think I want that to take place … have to find more ways to keep my concentration and absorption levels up… only 4 months left… OMGwad!!!!
-faints-

God give me strength!

32 years experience

Men count up the faults of those who keep them waiting.
Mere words do not feed the friars.
More grows in the garden than the gardener knows he has sown.
More things belong to marriage than four bare legs in a bed.
Nature breaks through the eyes of the cat.

Missed out on service this morning due to the need of having to see the doctor.
Have to miss out on quite a few things if I am to get myself back into working condition.
Argh!
-starts pulling hair out-

Went down (against doc’s advice) to WWS for my boat revision class, which was conducted by Bernard. That guy is very zai xia~
He drive boat damn pro… with 32 years of experience he should be anyway… haha… hopefully one day I will be as good a driver as him :) That is something to look forward to… heh…
Oh yes, before you start scolding me about the need to rest at home and not go boating, I shall state my reason for not listening to the doctor:
The revision session had been scheduled for the past 2 weeks and launching a boat for any purpose is time consuming and not cheap, so I can not just cancel on them at the eleventh hour...
Big thank you to Eugene and Bernard for arranging the session for me and Nurul.
Gained a lot and refreshed my memory quite a bit… now have to see if I can retain all that information… hahaha…
Just have to keep recalling the stuff I guess… with God’s help, I will!
Yeah!

Finally got my patrol shirt from Eugene :)
So, now I don’t have to wear the student shirt unless I have day after day activities at WWS. It has a very nice design :)
Once the boat was cleaned, Eugene, Bernard, Ivan, Nurul and I made for the food centre for some food. I did not enjoy it as much as the rest coz I was sick… din even finish the food lor… that very very rarely happens ok!
Hahaha…
We went our separate ways after some table planning ala brain storming.
I headed for the CC.
Obviously I did not train, so don give me that look. :p
Helped Mr. Chow with admin at the cc and even taught Elaine her pattern, there are many things which need to be done for the up coming grading and I will have to be on hand to get them accomplished. God will give me the strength! :D
Looking forward to the adrenaline rush of grading… zipididoda~

From time to time, when a coughing fit hits, I end up coughing until I have tears in my eyes and chest pains… shesh… not something I like at all…

I am totally hooked onto 'Pride'... the music is so nice! If and when I spot the OST, it is so going into my cd collection xia~
-migumi laughter-
ack!
*cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *cough* *COUGH* *COUGH*

With that said, I had better get ready for the new week ahead… it will be awesome… I can feel it… then again, maybe the medicine I took half an hour ago is making my senses go haywire… hmmm…

A new week awaits,
Have fun everyone… don fall sick ok?

Voiceless

Luck has a slender anchorage.
Mad as a march hare.
Make hay while the sun shines.
Mankind fears an evil man but heaven does not.
Many hands make light work.
May as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb.

More official than official!
I have lost my voice… again… cough and cough and cough until no voice… but it’s not totally gone…thank God…
Actually my voice now is very husky… so you could either say that I have lost my voice or that I sound like a guy - which is a comment from Wei Wen -.-lll …
Biggest irritancies are not being able to sleep and not being able to sing.
ArGh!~
Want to know how bad it is?
Give me a call… I dare you~

I did not attend Wednesday’s training at SIM owing in part to my falling sick and the need for packing up my bags at home… went for the training in the evening at Kovan though… can not don go for training one… I will cry…

Thursday’s Macro Economics class was rather crowded but I know quite a few people :D I seriously have to go reread my intro to econs text xia… x.x;;;
After the class, Yang Mui hung around with me and watched my eat dinner before I went to work… Thanks YM~
Work was not bad, but you can imagine how poofed I was when I got home…

Woke up bright and early on Friday morning to go to SIM to get the booth ready for the day. I did not go to school on Wednesday to help with booth preparation and due to class on Thursday, I did not spend much time at the booth. Therefore, Friday was my day to be at the booth… brought half-gi along for the on-stage/off-stage demonstrations. It was a pretty cool occasion. On-stage, I was the referee for the match between Eric and Hakim. Off-stage, I got to kicks with the power-pack for others to see… heehee… all that exercise did not really help my health… oppz…
Once the recruitment drive was over, the whole club, with a few exceptions, went over to Sian Li’s house for dinner and to play with lanterns. :D
Thanks for the lift Cat!
Your library of music rocks!
We ate pizza and played with fire… literally… haha~
Thanks for letting us into your house Sian Li!
Had to rush off early with Ticha and Ferlyn coz of the stuff I had on this morning…
We shared a cab… much cheaper that way… the taxi-driver was a nice Indian uncle but he kinda talked a lot and I was having a headache so I don think I was really able to appreciate what he was rambling on about…

Woke up bright and early this morning to make my way to WWS for the International Coastal Cleanup, students from Temasek Secondary School came down to do the beach cleanup and they picked up a total of 160.6kg of litter from the WWS area alone!
Once the students left, we launched the boats and headed for ‘Gay’ Beach.
The power of ‘Gay’ Beach:
We collected 8 trash bags full of rubbish within 50 minutes!
Had we stayed to collect more, there would not have been any space on the boat for us to sit, we were very crammed up as it is… and we only had 7 people including the driver!
ARGH~
On the way back from the beach, the waves were so bad that I was drenched and because I did not bring any extra clothes, I had to think of alternative ways of drying up and getting myself cleaned up… oh headache… haha~
Thank you to Eugene and Doreen for the lozenges... they helped a lot!
The STF AGM which I made my way to, after saying bye-bye to WWS for the day, was very interesting… Chi Foong’s Dad gave me a lift half-way to home… Thanks Uncle!
So now:
I am sun-burnt, have no voice and am coughing like crazy… so when would be the best time for me to go and see the doctor? Hmmm… have to go soon, coz grading is next Sunday!
Seriously can not afford to get sicker than I am now… so what actions should I take… must pray very hard… God will heal me! Yes He will! I know He will!

Joshy kor: “Sharon>u noe ahhh...do cheer up...just remember what kor told u...dun be too sad”
Yeah kor… I will try my best… thanks :)

Tomorrow’s a new day,
Chiong ah!

Most expensive movie ticket ever

Look before you leap.
Look down if you would know how high you stand.
Love enters a man through his eyes, woman through her ears.
Love makes the time pass. Time makes love pass.
Love me, love my dog.
Love your neighbors, but don't pull down the fence.
Love, pain, and money cannot be kept secret; they soon betray themselves.

11/9 – Church, went to PS for movie, missed out on training but still managed to hangout with my society for a bit. Kind of a weird day. Confusing on some levels. Better not to think about it … let God be in charge…

12/9 – Had my first Micro Economics lecture. Was late by about 5 minutes due to imperfect timing with the buses… have to leave the home earlier xia… get back my kiasu habit… haha…
There is much I have to revise from Intro to Econs man... the fact that I have Macro to deal with tomorrow is makes the need for revision even more important.
The weather was good all the way through training, albeit a tad too humid for my liking at the beginning, but the rain made everything good in the end.
Whacked my right foot against Hakim’s hand during a one-on-one target session, I think his hands are made of stone, my foot is still hurting from the impact -.-lll

13/9 – met PK on the bus toward school heading straight for my Organisation Theory class.
Kanna aimed by the lecturer. Want to know why? Ask me.
The subject combines elements from economics, sociology and ibm, so I guess that means that I have to bring out all my notes from the previous semester and plow through them, if I want to get my head in order…
-starts pulling hair out-
I am not used to the idea of having a longer lunch break, considering that I have been rushing through my food for the pass 3 years. 1 and a half hours is kinda new to me, but then there will be times when the lunch break will only be 1 hour, so what am I ranting about? Hmmm…
-goes cross eyed-
Shu Min crashed our POA lecture and I spent most of the time trying to concentrate… what to do? Long day mah… but that is no excuse for shutting off from time to time, so that’s one more thing to add to my list: Find a way to keep the information in my head and not switch off when the lecturer is talking. Gah!
Went for cell group in the evening and we have a new member: Auntie Sally… but then I still not sure what I am to call her… not sure about her age… I always have a problem with what I am to call people who are older than me…
-scratches head-
Nadia told me that now Wendy Jiejie and Kor kor Mike are in hospital with dengue and possible dengue respectively. Gosh… after Kor kor Darius, the praise and worship leaders are being shot down one by one. What’s more, my estate is on red alert because there are so many cases sprouting up… have to pray real hard that God protects all of us from falling to that illness.
Went home and watched CSI + ‘Pride’ till late… *swoon*
Thanks for the ride Kimi! :D

While talking to PK on the bus, I found out that a former classmate of mine committed suicide a few months back.
Death puts things in perspective for others.
Really makes you stop and think real hard about life.
Goodbye my friend.
Rest in peace.
I will remember you.

My system is a tad to heaty, starting to cough and got phlegm … sian diao lor… I drank two cans of Jia Jia liang teh plus one more cup of liang teh at home and I am still feeling *bleah*… its only the first week of school… PUI!
-pulls more hair out-
What are the chances of me burning out during the school term this time round?
I was burnt pass burnt during the holidays so how about now?
Taking into consideration WWS, my new timetable, workload, trainings and other commitments… hmmm…
-rubs head in thought-
Then again, since the school term is slightly longer than the holidays and more predictable, I guess I should be able to get used to the schedule…
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
Woohoo~

I’ve been crying a lot lately, over usually the same matter… shesh~
One of the most depressing things is to be doubted by someone whom you thought you were close to.
Another is abandonment.
Maybe one day I might write more about that.

Winnie: “eh..tt day we went to tiong bahru not tajong pagar..lol!!! nvm..i also mixed them up very often..haha!”
Opps, sorry for the bad memory… haha… some how it is easier to remember tajong pagar compared to tiong bahru…. Heh~

Did you know that in my short life, I have only eaten moon cakes on two occasions?
I kid you not.

That’s all for now… the rest of the week awaits~
Stay healthy everyone!

Pause in quiet

Like a fish out of water.
Like a lame man's legs that hang limp is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.
Listen to the sound of the river and you will get a trout.
Little pitchers have big ears.
Live with wolves, and you learn to howl.

There are so many things to be thankful for in this life.
It is hard to see the blessings when things keep going wrong but ultimately, everything will be in God’s hands.
Just keep praying and keeping the faith.
On this day, 4 years ago, crashes took place.
A moment of silence please.

Queen rocks!

Laws control the lesser man. Right conduct controls the greater one.
Lend your money and lose your friend.
Let sleeping dogs lie.
Let your heart guide your head in evil matters.
Life is a bridge. Cross over it, but build no house on it.
Life without a friend is death without a witness.

Went down with Swee Shoon and Hui Min to AWWA to get the last portions of the final report done in the morning.
I have not been counting but it seems like such a long time since I last saw the two of them… how time flies~
Could not make it down to YMCA with them coz of the beef noodles that were waiting at home for me.
Oh gu ba kwey teow ah~
*mmmmmmm…goooooood*

One bowl of beef noodles later, I sat down to finish studying for my powerboat theory test, which was to be held later that evening.
This particular test is my second try because I failed the last one.
The most f***ed-up thing about failing that time was that I failed it by one mark. And it totally sucks to fail by that mark because you have practically no idea what when wrong.
Failing that test was one of the straws that broke my back during that period of darkness I went through a few weeks back.

On a brighter note, I am pleased to announce that I have passed my theory test and am in the process of preparing myself for the handling aka practical test which will be held on October 1st… yes… Children’s Day… hahaha…
Thanks and praises to God for helping me through it all. I would also like to give my thanks to Winnie, Kimi, Yang Mui, Yilinn and my cell group.
Winnie accompanied me while waiting for the test to start and she also quizzed me on the possible test questions. She also waited for me to finish the paper and apply for the practical test… the queue was rather long -.-lll
After all that waiting, we took the MRT to Tanjong Pagar to meet Andrew and make out way home.
All in all, I had a good evening. :D

Went to work and TKM joined me for lunch. :)
As of today, I am the proud owner of a copy of ‘Pride’.
-pumps fists into the air and does the crazy dance-
Now I can watch the series at my own time without worrying about the timings on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Yeah babeh yeah~
Takuya Kimura… wooohooo~
-migumi laughter-

Here are some songs which are played throughout the series :) All Queen all good :) Heh~

Queen – I was born to love you

I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you
Every single day...

chorus:
I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you
Every single day of my life

You are the one for me
I am the man for you
You were made for me
You're my ecstasy
If I was given every opportunity
I'd kill for your love

So take a chance with me
Let me romance with you
I'm caught in a dream
And my dream's come true
It's so hard to believe
This is happening to me
An amazing feeling
Comin' through

chorus

I wanna love you
I love every little thing about you
I wanna love you, love you, love you
Born - to love you
Born - to love you
Yes I was born to love you
Born - to love you
Born - to love you
Every single day - of my life

An amazing feeling
Coming through

chorus

Yes I was born to love you
Every single day of my life

Go, I love you babe
Yes I was born to love you
I wanna love you, love you, love you
I wanna love you
I get so lonely, lonely, lonely
Yeah, I want to love you
Yeah, give it to me

Queen – We will rock you

Buddy you’re a boy make a big noise
Playin’ in the street gonna be a big man some day
You got mud on yo’ face
You big disgrace
Kickin’ your can all over the place

We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Buddy you’re a young man hard man
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
You got blood on yo’ face
You big disgrace
Wavin’ your banner all over the place

We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Buddy you’re an old man poor man
Pleadin’ with your eyes gonna make you some peace some day

You got mud on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody better put you back in your place

We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality
Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me

Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooh, Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time
Goodbye, ev'rybody, I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooh, I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all

I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very fright'ning me
(Galileo.) Galileo. (Galileo.) Galileo, Galileo figaro
Magnifico. I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go
(Let me go.) Will not let you go. (Let me go.) Ah
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
(Oh mama mia, mama mia.) Mama mia, let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here

Nothing really matters, Anyone can see
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me

Any way the wind blows

Queen – Too much love will kill you

I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone
For much too long
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind
I've been looking back to find
Where I went wrong
Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster
'cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you
Every time
I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you
Every time
Too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end...
In the end.

Queen – We are the champions

I've paid my dues -
Time after time -
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime -
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face -
But I've come through

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world -

I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls -
You brought me fame and fortuen and everything that goes with it
-
I thank you all -

But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise -
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race -
And I ain't gonna lose -

We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting - till the end -
We are the champions -
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions - of the world

-more migumi laughter-
back to the VCDs!
-does the crazy dance of joy-

Enjoy your weekend everyone!
-hugs-

Des, Izzy, Sha out

Keep a thing for seven years and you'll find a use for it.
Kill not the goose that lays the golden eggs.
Lack of resource has hanged many a person.
Last ship, best ship.

‘The Longest Yard’
Caught it this afternoon with Aziz and Desmond at Cine-leisure.
That theatre is now my favorite!
Comfy seats, great sound system, toilet in the theatre… ok nuff about the place… on to the movie!
IT ROCKS!!!!!
I was very pumped through out the movie… found myself shouting at some of the characters during parts of the movie… *gasp* That is something abnormal for me, because I am usually very quite during movies...
Don wanna spoil it for you guys… so I won’t let the plot out… it’s pretty predictable anyway… haha … I think they were very inspired by ‘Mean Machine’
-grows deep in thought-
I recommend it all the same, because it’s worth your time.
Would I watch it again? Sure - as long as I have enough money to burn :)
Would I buy the VCD/DVD when it comes out? Hell yeah!

Had lunch with the two guys as well, though that was before the movie started… after the movie, we went to the Heeren Shops and I finally got my hands on ‘Mansfield Park’! Woohoooo~
I initially wanted to get ‘The Last Samurai’ and ‘Unleashed’ VCDs, but I changed my mind at the last minute… haha…
That settled, we went back to Cine-leisure and played pool.
I will be the first to admit that I am not good at the game… but I am totally willing to learn… and I did get to learn from the Masters ala Desmond and Aziz. :D
Thanks guys!!!!

Aziz had to leave early to get an errand done, so we all took the NEL and headed in our respective directions. Desmond ‘pei-ed’ Aziz for a while, whilst I bought my dinner and bee-lined home…
Spent about 30 minutes at home before I left it for work.
The kids were better behaved than usual… but I still had to raise my voice at some of them… I do wish I had my camera with me… the cute ones came out in full force!
Hahaha~

‘Pride’ – that new Japanese drama showing on Ch U every Monday and Tuesday night… the one that debuted this week… know the one I am talking about?
Takuya Kimura is the star of the show… YA YA THAT ONE!
I WANT TO BUY THE SERIES BOX SET AH!!!!
Seeing as it airs on Mondays and Tuesdays and that I am not at home on those evenings, I do not think I will have the opportunity to watch the show while it airs on the tube… sad but true…
-wrinkles nose and sniffles-
Kimura-san is my favorite Japanese actor! I enjoy watching all his shows!!!!
-migumi laughter-
Hopefully I will be able to get my hands on a set which has the original dialog with Chinese or English subtitles… I can’t stand the copies which are Chinese dubbed … yuck!
Oh Kimura-san~
-swoons-
Buah hahahahaha…

Tomorrow is another day~
In the name of Jesus, I have the victory!
YEAH!
^-^

Guest stars for the day

If a man be great, even his dog will wear a proud look.
If all pulled in one direction, the world would keel over.
If rich people could hire other people to die for them, the poor could make a wonderful living.
If the patient dies, the doctor has killed him, but if he gets well, the saints have saved him.

Training ah!
The last session saw my bum getting whacked by Eric and Desmond… I din realize that I was more injured than I initially thought I was.
Whole of the left arm is bruised in various places and there is a huge blue-black on my right thigh -.-lll
Not only that, my right leg is hurting me… argh~
Hopefully I will be better by Sunday ^-^
I wonder if there will be sparring next Monday… I will have to start rethinking my schedule when school reopens coz I honestly do not want to burn my body into the ground running all over the place… gosh~
The joy of the Lord is my strength!

The training at the SIM grounds had to be moved to the area outside the 1.05 today because of the renovation work being done to the plaza.
Wah…not easy training on an inclined space lor… the warm up was fine, but the target practice was not… I kept losing my balance… gah!
Taught Sian Li and helped Gordon with their patterns.
Kovan target bashing was not bad… save for the pain in my right leg…
Siya made a special appearance at the CC today! Heehee…
Such a pleasant surprise! :D

Hmmm… I had so many things which I wanted to put down… but it seems that my mind is a total blank now… aiyo~
Toopid short term memory! X.xlll

Alamak!
Look at the time!
Need to sleep…
Nightz

An add on

He whose face gives no light, shall never become a star.
Heaven lent you a soul Earth will lend a grave.
Honesty is the best policy.
How many will listen to the truth when you tell them.
Hygiene is two thirds of health.

Here's the story Elsie Jie jie had in the presentation for the BCM teachers.
It's far too nice not to put it down.

The Starfish Story
adapted from The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley
1907 - 1977

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?"

The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, "It made a difference for that one."

Nice right??!!

Oh yah... forgot to mention just now...
I watched Untamed Heart this afternoon.
The last time I watched it, I was reduced to tears.
This time was no different.
Christian Slater + Marisa Tomei + Fluff + Death = "Tissue please?"
What to do?
I am a sap.
*sigh*

Now to tend to my injuries...
*ouch*
^-^

Rest is good for the body

He who leaps high must take a long run.
He who rides a tiger is afraid to dismount.
He who serves two masters has to lie to one.
He who sups with the devil has need of a long spoon.
He who would climb the ladder must begin at the bottom.
He who would eat in Spain must bring his kitchen along.

Over the past few months, I have been making trips back to SRJC not only for the YFC project but to see the students preparing themselves for the Literature Class production of Othello as well.
‘Turning Othello’ was put up by the J1s under the direction of Mr. Mark Tan and the other literature teachers.
Much headaches and heartaches, not forgetting the sleepless nights in tow.
The play was staged at the Substation on the 30th and 31st of September 2005.
I attended the matinee on the 31st with Kimi.
Kudos to the all who were involved in the production.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
There is much gratification in watching students go from wooden dolls to the characters that they are portraying. Then again, that can not be said of the entire cast although all have made a lot of progress.
Props to everyone!
-claps like crazy-

This song was played while the actors came out to make their bows… heh… its growing on me~ :)

Annie Lennox - Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something.

Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused.

Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world
And the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something.

Hold your head up - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up.

Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused.

Hold your head up - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up - Movin' on
Hold your head up - Movin' on - Keep your head up.

Sweet dreams are made of this... (4x and fade)

I had been meaning to post an entry since last week, but always like got no extra push to write leh… also donno why…but I am writing now… haha ;p

31/8 – Slacked at home till it was time to get ready to go and meet Kimi for the play… after the play, we went to eat Korean food… mmmm tofu~ rushed home to get ready for training and rushed to the CC to meet Kimi coz I forgot to buy Mr. Chow’s Teachers’ Day present… Thanks Kimi…
Training was rather interesting that day… Chi Foong partnered Qian bei and it was a good show to watch… haha… I do worry about my white-liners though… they keep forgetting their pattern… makes me wanna scream and pull out my hair… wait! I’ve already done that before… shesh… now I have to do something else eh? -.-lll

1/9 – Teachers’ Day!
A good day for rest… den work in the evening… haha~
I also got the UOL results that day… want to know how I did?
You’ll have to ask me personally.
-zips mouth-

2/9 – Went out with Aziz in the evening. We were supposed to watch a movie, but then we postponed it. We were supposed to go window shopping, but then we postponed it. He was supposed to buy me a tub of B&Js, but I postponed it. Landed up going to the library and walking around Orchard road instead… haha… but I managed to get 4 pretty slammin’ books :D

3/9 – went to work in the morning then rushed to Seng Kang for lunch with TKM and Auntie Mary at Soup Kitchen. Mmmmm goood~
After the lunch, went home and knocked out for about 45 minutes before heading to Tampines Mall to meet Feng Ru for dinner.
Darn! It’s been ages since I last saw him xia. Good to know that he’s well and getting through his army stint.
All the best for your driving ah Feng Ru!
Jia you with the attachment!
-pulls out pompoms and waves them all over the place-
You can do it! :D

4/9 – the BCM celebrated Teachers’ Day for the teachers and I am very touched by the effort put in by Elsie Jie jie for the rest of us. All that is left is for me to do something real nice for her… but I donno what to do… gosh… anyone got ideas for me?
The presentation she put together for us almost made me cry, but then got too many people round so can not cry… haha … yeah… I am a sap… I know~
She put up the story about the starfishes along the shore and the kid who was throwing them back into the sea lor~ How can I not be touched??!!
THANKS ELSIE JIE JIE!!!!
Went for second service… it has been more than a month since I went for service xia~ but because I was so tired, I almost fell asleep during the message and due in part to the rain, not only was I cold and I tired, I was distracted by the sound… heh… but I love rain… what to do? ;p
The buffet held for the teachers was good, kudos to the caterers.
Shared a cab home in the rain with Winnie and Andrew.
Literally k.o.ed from 2 to 5.30pm.
As a result, I missed out on training at the CC… oh well… what to do? I think if someone had tried to wake me up during the k.o.ed period, I think no use also… haha…

5/9 – TODAY!
I slept till 11.30am.
Woohoo~ Shiok ah…but then… haven beaten my record yet…. Soon soon! Akan datang! Heehee…
Went online to do the eCR2 thing for Long Jie and myself. Long Jie asked me to do for him coz he is currently in Malaysia on a job… I am honoured to be trusted with this task, but I must say that it’s very stressful… haha … I am not one who would like to screw up my friend’s education for a whole year… aiyoyo…
Because the darn eCR system thingy lagged so much, I ended up being very late for training at the SIM grounds. How late?
Training starts at 5.30pm. I got there at 6.20pm. The latest I have ever been to any appointment. Gosh! Had I not known about the sparring session today I don think I would have covered the distance just for 1 hour worth of training… haha…
Sparring was rather gruesome coz so many people got injured… and I was one of the few that got let off easy lor~
I sparred against Eric (by order of Mr. Chow) and Desmond (by mutual choice).
Had I more options, I would not have sparred with any guy at all, simply because I don think I am good enough, but after today’s session, I think I will be going up against more boys in the future. It will be good training for me … I hope…
Injuries suffered by Sharon today: bruised hands and arms from being kicked by Eric.
Add that to my injured knee, arm and wrist…
-faints-
Can’t wait for the next sparring session xia… I have to work on my footwork and sha qi… can not let my opponent use me as a sandbag ah~ I let the guys whack too much lo… haha… revenge is MINE!
-very loud evil laughter-
Hitched a ride with Mr. Chow and Kelvin to Whampoh then took the mrt from Boon Keng home… man was I hungry when I got home!
Haha~

Stacie Orrico - I Promise

Will I always be there for you?
When you need someone, Will I be that one you need?
Will I do all my best to, to protect you?
When the tears get near your eyes
Will I be the one that's by your side?
Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will

Will I take tender care of you?
Take your darkest night and make it bright for you
Will I be there to make you strong and to lean on?
When this world has turned so cold
Will I be the one that's there to hold?

Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will

Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will

Yeah
And I love you more every day
And nothing will take that love away
When you need someone
I promise I'll be there for you (there for you)
I promise

Will I be there when you call me in the middle of the night?
Will I keep the rain from falling down into your life?
I promise, I promise
I promise I will

And I promise (and I promise)
I promise (oh I promise you)
I will be there when you call me (when you call me)
I promise (I promise)
I promise I will

I like this song a lot.
Kind of like my song when it comes to my friends and family.
